7th annual meeting

The annual PHASE meeting took place on March 2nd - 4th, 2011.

6th annual meeting

The annual PHASE meeting took place on February 21st - 23rd. Once more, we enjoyed the comfort of the Harnack-Haus. The PHASE team and guests presented their most recent results to:

  • seismogenic index and magnitude probability
  • mircoseismic event relocation and multiplet analysis
  • induced microseismicity and its  temporal distribution
  • induced acoustic emissions in laboratary rock samples
  • and much more

5th annual meeting

This year, we enjoyed a nice atmosphere in the "Magnus-Haus"  from the German Physical Society (DPG) in the cultural heart of Berlin.

4th Annual Meeting

20. February   - 22. February 2008, old place, new topics:

  • non linear diffusion
  • magnitudes of fluid induced seismicity
  • effective properties of heavy oil saturated rocks
  • stress sentitivity of shale
  • and more

3rd Annual Meeting

The 3rd annual meeting of the PHASE research project took place on Febuary 22. and 23. 2007. Again we enjoyed the comforts of the Harnack-Haus.

2nd Annual Meeting

February 23. and 24. 2006 we had the second annual meeting of the PHASE research project. The PHASE team gave talks on ...

  • Fluid-Induced microseismicity at 4km depth at the German deep drilling site (KTB)
  • Gaussian-Beam-type-location: problems, pitfalls and case studies
  • Statistics of rock strength from fluid induced microseismicity
  • Stress and pore pressure dependent elastic anisotropy: theory
  • Stress dependent elastic anisotropy: experimental studies
  • Seismic signatures of fractured rocks: numerical examples, theory and case studies
  • Elasticity of fractured rocks: static versus dynamic numerical experiments

1st Annual Meeting

The first annual meeting of the PHASE research project was May 8. and 9. 2005 in Berlin. In the cosy halls of the Harnack-Haus a first exchange of scientific results and company needs took place. The current state of work was presented by the research team.

KickOff Meeting

The first step towards the PHASE research project was made in November 2004. Over ten company delegates found their way to the university campus in Lankwitz, Berlin, to discuss the perspectives of a new research consortium. This consortium was going to reveal the secrets of Physics and Application of Seismic Emission - PHASE.
